Jaycee was diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Carcinoma on January 30th, 2020, a rare form of brain cancer that accounts for only 3% of all brain tumors in children. During her initial admission to the hospital, she had a 100% resection of the tumor and from that point until late 2024 her samples sat untouched or researched at Children's Milwaukee. Upon investigation and networking, we were able to locate Gift from a Child, CBTN, and CHOP Research Institute we were finally able to ger her tissue donated and made available to study.
